The book offers a range of geo-political positions and research-curatorial methodologies on climate change and their approaches to ecological romanticism. It aims to engage a readership further-reaching than the project’s immediate public.

A five wheels bike for three people to move forwards or produce electricity. For Venice a customized and optimized version has been designed that suits the city architecture and it’s urban culture.

MALDIVES PAVILION : PRESS RELEASE
The history of artistic aesthetics of the Maldives is not widely documented, the archipelago is not known for its visual arts activities but rather for its most central aesthetical themes such as supreme beauty of the ocean, ecology and environment. CPS intends to treat the culture and nature of Maldives as our central subject, marking its importance through its ecology, and what it would mean for the islands to disappear.
RESONANT ZENITH
Resonant Zenith, an eco-aesthetic and sculptural installation, provides a method of transforming live perception of water/shore interactions into a multi-faceted, reactive coaction. The dynamic physical elements of the installation’s environment, namely water washing onto beach shores, are mechanically transformed into a warning system for a consequential future.

Water has traditionally been associated with specific cultural or symbolic meanings, so it is hard to generalize the aesthetic dimension of this life-sustaining liquid. But oil is an entirely different case: it has literally propelled humanity into a different era of mobility and consumption.
CONTINGENT MOVEMENTS SYMPOSIUM
The Contingent Movements Symposium emerges from the Contingent Movements Archive, an online archival project that speculates on the contingent circumstances the low-lying island nation of the Maldives may face as global temperatures and sea levels rise. It is predicted that the country could be uninhabitable by the end of the 21st century.

If the earth beneath our feet could speak … Incompatible Elements re-presents the relationship between nature and culture by reconfiguring land as active rather than neutral, verbal rather than mute, and therefore able to comment directly on the impacts of climate change.

The Maldives Pavilion has the pleasure to announce that the biennale team has been completed and we have found the curator assistants who will work with the members of Chamber of Public Secrets (CPS) and help building the Maldives Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
CPS CURATES MALDIVES PAVILION
The Maldives Pavilion is a theoretical research project consisting of several public events in the Maldives and Venice including exhibitions, publication, seminars and a documentary film. It debates environmental events related to social and cultural life, to the notion of nation without territory, climate change law and environmental politics.
